An Evening With The Legend

I was lucky enough to get tickets to John Legend’s last show at The State Theatre last night. Nothing less of AWESOME! Here are some pics from the show (sorry they’re bad shots but I was pretty much sitting in the Nosebleed section.)

This was the first act: Lowrider. Not bad for Aussie soul music.

The Legend

Lady got to Slow Dancin’ with the Legend. It was embarrassing.

Emery – Recap

So last night I headed over to the Annandale with Ness, Tin and Joel to see Emery perform. I haven’t been to a gig in ages so I was definitely pumped for this.

Last night’s line-up.

So first up was The Understatement, a five-piece Hardcore outfit from Campbelltown.

Next was For All Eternity, again from Campbelltown. I would definitely would like to see these guys again.

Third was this band called Ladies & Gentlemen, an electro/rock group hailing somewhere in Western Sydney.

The main event – EMERY

Acoustic Session…

Then kicked it back up!

At the end of the gig, we went up close and personal.

Toby Morell.

Josh Head.

Joel gettin’ choked.

The night overall was awesome. Having been out of the loop in the hardcore scene it was refreshing to be in that scene again. Great playin’ boys!

MANGAHEAD.

For all you kids on school holidays, have a free weekend or just straight-up in love with all things Anime, the fellas at the Japanese Foundation Sydney are here to bring you their lastest exhibition: JAPAN: Kingdom of Characters. Running from April 8th all through to May 28th and held the Japanese Foundation Gallery, the exhibition will take you on through the past and present crazes of Japanese animation culture.
